One of my aims in studying the harmonica is to get to the point where I can play music without any effort. Of course playing will always require some kind of effort but what I mean is that during playing I don't want to be distracted by any limitations. Eventually, the music has to play itself without my interference.
A wonderful source of information about effortless mastery is a book by the jazz piano player Kenny Werner. click here
Kenny Werner:
Mastery is playing whatever you are capable of playing ... every time ... WITHOUT THINKING ...
Mastery is comprised of two things:
what wants to come out: these are the components of the 'master space'.

Mastery is comprised of two things:
- Staying out of the way and letting music play itself.
- Being able to play the material perfectly everytime
without thought.
what wants to come out: these are the components of the 'master space'.
Through this blog I'll regularly publish new thoughts, excersizes and anything that could be helpful to other harmonica players.
